MRI Results

The nurse from Dr. Abrams office called me today and said that Lucca's MRI came back "basically normal". What the heck does that mean?! She said the report shows "extra axial spaces seen". I have NO idea what this means, if anything. We will have to wait for Lucca's follow up appt Sept 24th with his neurologist until we understand exactly what "extra axial spaces" means.. I HATE being clueless about all of this!! She said it COULD mean nothing, that it COULD be of no significance at all.. which of course that's what I'm hoping for! And that if his development continues to be delayed that he will need to be scanned again in a couple of years. That's all I know for now!
