Weddings, Baby Showers & a Surprise Ending!!

One of our Shand's students that just graduated in August got married last night at Oakleaf Plantation. Congrats to Kandis & Wally Johns!!! Your wedding was absolutely beautiful and I wish you the best of luck in your marriage!!

Then this morning...I threw my friend, KT, a baby shower for her little one that is due in Jan! She is not finding out the sex of the baby so we went with a neutral theme for the shower... and how perfect was it that I found a theme that said "Mommys Little Peanut" !! since that is what her and her husband call the baby :) Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures because I was busy trying to keep everything flowing, but I did get a few!!

Thennn.... after the shower was over and everyone left, a lady I work with stuck around for a little bit so her son, Ian, & Lucca could play. They were so funny together! Lucca's favorite toy is his beads, and Ian seems to really enjoy them too!! It was so cute watching them play with the beads together.. then one time Ian took the beads and had them sitting by him and Lucca just SAT RIGHT UP all by himself to get the beads from Ian!!! That was the FIRST time he has done it with NO help!! I was such an exciting moment for us and I am such a proud mommy!! Definitely an exciting thing and one more milestone to mark off the list! Thank you for assisting in hitting that milestone Mr. Ian!!

Tricia's Baby Shower

Yesterday we had my cousin Tricia's baby shower for her 3rd lil baby at my mom's house. She is expecting a little boy, Ethan Charles, in August...but we don't think he is going to wait THAT long to make his debut.. He is already 5 pounds!! Everything turned out so good and she definitely got a LOT of necessities!! I didn't get a chance to take many photos but here are some that I took..

ALSO...after everyone left for the baby shower, we were playing with Lucca in my parent's bedroom...he LOVES giving the baby in the mirror kisses... Well after a few minutes of letting him kiss the baby, he decided he wanted to pull himself up..ALL BY HIMSELF with no help from mama!!! What an accomplishment for him! We were SOOO excited to say the least, so of course we got a video!! He is getting so big =)
It just takes the right motivation to get him doing things...Thank goodness for the baby in the mirror! lol

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I know I am so far! Today I went to my friend from xray school's baby shower. She is due next month with a little boy. It was so fun! I can't wait for her to have the baby... boys are sooo fun! It seems like all my friends are getting pregnant or about to have babies...makes me want another one so bad! Even though I know right now is not a good time... Hopefully one day =\ Speaking of fun... Lucca is learning how to open door handles and turn the lights on and off..
