My Poor Baby..

Lucca has been sick ALL week! Sunday he started coming down with a fever, and Monday morning he woke up around 3:00 with a 102 temperature! Out of nowhere! Of course I had to work for Memorial Day so Randy stayed home with him, and Lucca was just miserable and pitiful all day..lifeless and not wanting to eat or play..He actually fell asleep after TWO bites of his dinner!

Then Tuesday morning my mom said he woke up with a 103.3 temperature, even after we had been alternating giving him Motrin and Tylenol all Monday...after a couple hours it was still 102.9 so she took him to the doctor..Come to find out, he has a THROAT INFECTION! That's why his fever won't break.. he has been SOOOO pitiful!! Last night he ate pretty good dinner, and fell asleep VERY easily, but he woke up at 1:00 this morning screaming and crying and shaking with his eyes still closed... I was freaking out! When I picked him up he was scalding hot, with a 103 temp again... The doc gave him some meds and said to keep alternating the Motrin and Tylenol, but I am SOOOOO ready for him to be back to normal! I called out of work today because I was so worried about him and I had finally got him back to sleep when it was time for me to get up and ready and we didn't want to wake him.. He has just been real puny and lethargic all day today.. I am hoping his antibiotics kick in real soon! I want my hyper baby back! heh

Lovin' the Outside

We decided to take Lucca outside for a little bit this weekend since the weather was SOOO nice! He absolutely LOVES the outside! And I bought him a little pool so he could enjoy it all by himself this summer! We put him in it for the first time and he had a blast playin with his lil bath fishies! Here are a few pictures...

Therapy Updates..

For those who don't know us that well... Lucca has been going to Physical Therapy for a few weeks now every Monday.. He recently started Occupational Therapy as well.. Both of those "evaluation consultations" put Lucca at around 6-9 months range with his development. Lately he has been getting stronger and has started to do more things that the therapist has showed us...still no crawling or walking yet..not even any attempts to.. hopefully soon =)

Yesterday we had his Speech Therapy Consultation... We found out that his communicative skills/cognitive development level is that of a 4-6 month old and that he falls below the 1 percentile for babies his age.. Depressing?.. YES! BUT....we are keeping high hopes that all these therapy sessions are going to help my lil guy improve... It is very hard to stay positive when all the news we have been getting recently is negative..but I have no choice =) I just love that lil booger and of course I will do anything he needs to improve! Thankfully he is a happy boy. He is always laughing and smiling =) Please keep him and us in your prayers for healing and strength!

We have a Neurology consultation in August, and we are hoping to finally figure out what is causing his severe developmental delays.. and if they news does happen to come back that there is nothing..and he is just VERY behind.. at least we will have the peace of mind to know that he is going to catch up, and there isn't anything seriously wrong =) *crossing our fingers for that!* I just want to know what is causing everything so we can get a jump start on fixing it...VERy frustrating not knowing.. Very...*sigh*

Tristan's 1st Birthday!

This past Saturday, Lucca, MiMi and I went to Lucca's lil buddy, Tristan's, 1st bday party. It was a "western/cowboy" theme, and it turned out soooo cute! Miranda did a great job decorating! All the food was so delicious and the lil favors and decor were adorable! This was out last time seeing them before they leave to go to Hawaii =( We will definitely miss their lil family! Also at the party we met a mom and lil guy that hopefully we will start getting to hang out with! The little boys name is Paxton and he is a year old too.. He has also been having some problems with hitting milestones and him & Lucca are sorta in the same boat! So it will be nice for Lucca to have someone to hang out that is similar to him in physical development! Also, it is nice for me too, to have a mom that understands me and we know what the other is going through mentally, physically and emotionally... I really hope that we can stay in touch and that the lil guys become good friends!!

Summer is finally here!!

This weekend the weather was so nice! We went over to my friend's MiMis house and had a cookout and played in the pool.. The water was FREEZING but Lucca still loved it! I can't wait for the weather to get even warmer so we can go to the pool again..Here are a few pics of my lil guy...more to come as summer goes on !

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I know I am so far! Today I went to my friend from xray school's baby shower. She is due next month with a little boy. It was so fun! I can't wait for her to have the baby... boys are sooo fun! It seems like all my friends are getting pregnant or about to have babies...makes me want another one so bad! Even though I know right now is not a good time... Hopefully one day =\ Speaking of fun... Lucca is learning how to open door handles and turn the lights on and off.. Saturday I took Lucca over to play with his old bud Tristan. Tristan used to live across the street from us but sadly him and his parents had to move to Orange Park. Pretty soon they will be moving even FARTHER away to HI! We will def miss them, but I'm so glad that Lucca and Tristan have been able to hang a few times.. Lucca's 1st Hair 'Trim'

Sooo...Lucca's hair has started to turn curly..which I LOVE!! But since he lays on his back, ALOT, he has a nice big bald spot on the back of his head, and his hair is curly on both sides of the bald spot..Also, one side's curls are much longer then the other, so even though his curly hair is cute and adorable...it is starting to look like what Randy & I call the "mad scientist hairdo" so as hard as I have been trying to hold out for his first "hair-cut" this definitely needed to be done..lol so instead of calling this his first "OFFICIAL" hair cut..this is just a hair TRIM lol..Enjoy:
