Disney World Trip

Last week we took Lucca to Disney for his 3rd Birthday. I know his birthday isn't until the 29th but we wanted him to experience the Very Merry Mickey Christmas Parade and it ended the 18th, so we had to go a little earlier than his actual birthday. Saturday morning we had a character breakfast and Lucca wanted NOTHING to do with the characters haha. Then we went to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios and Lucca rode on the carousel for the first time! It was alot faster than I remember it being lol. Then Sunday was the big day at Disney! I hadn't been to disney since I was like 10 years old and same with Randy. When we first got there we got to watch a parade and it totally took us by surprise how awesome it ended up being. All the characters in the parade broke from formation and came over to where Lucca was sitting and made a point to hug him and grab his hands and play with him and his toys.. it was AMAZING! Totally brought tears to our eyes how awesome the characters were and how they went out of their way to make Lucca feel special ! What was even more amazing was the fact that Lucca was so intrigued by them! He actually made eye contact with them and touched their faces and paid so much attention to them... he NEVER does that with anyone other than us! That parade alone made the entire trip worth it! I think this may become a birthday tradition! Then we took Lucca on the Dumbo ride which he absolutely loved! After that he pretty much slept the entire rest of the day/night lol and completely missed the Mickey Parade... lol Oh well..Maybe next year. We took hundreds of pictures so I just picked out some of my favorites to post.

Great Weekend

It has been way too long since we have had a nice stress-free weekend... This weekend Lucca & I went to his cousin's Grayson's 2nd birthday party. It was really fun and I think Lucca enjoyed watching all the kids run around acting crazy. I can't wait for Lucca to be able to run around and play with them! Then Saturday night my parents watched Lucca so Randy & I could go on a MUCH NEEDED date night! We went to the movies and saw The Book of Eli, which was an INCREDIBLE movie! I highly recommend it! Then we went to Outback with some gift certificates that my parents got us for Christmas... when we walked in there was a 80-90 minute wait! Luckily after 20 minutes we found a seat in the bar and ate and finished before people that got there before us had even been sat.. heh we are sneaky lil sneaks... =)
Then Sunday afternoon Randy went and played golf and my mom and I went to the mall to exchange some stuff and went to Babies R Us.. I could spend ALL DAY in that store!
Now today, we got up early..surprise surprise, I got the house all cleaned and FINALLY got Lucca's bookcase put together! It looks so good, and now that I have something to put all his books in, his closet and room is less cluttered! Always a plus! So that's all for now! So thankful to have had a good weekend with my family =) God has truly blessed me and my family!!

Lucca's 1st B-Day Party

Saturday Jan. 2nd we had Lucca's 1st Bday party..I had REALLY been stressing out about it because there was going to be ALOT of people there, and I just didn't want anything to go wrong/bad. lol I am NOT a good entertainer of alot of people, and my biggest fear was that people were going to get bored. Hopefully no one did lol. It ended up turning out pretty good I think. I lot of people showed up and some that said they were, didn't but it kinda worked out to our advantage lol. We might not have had any food left if everyone showed up! I'm really glad that people that DID come, came. We are so lucky/thankful to have the friends and family that we do.

I was really hoping that Lucca would mess up his cake, and thankfully with a little push in the beginning, he did =) I am so proud of him, it was so cute! And he kept saying.. "yuummm" lol I can't believe he is already a year old! Time FLIES.

Lucca got ALOT of good gifts from everyone, and we thank you all SO much! He is so spoiled already. He really likes all the toys he got, and thankfully they are all learning/walking/helpful toys to his development. Thanks everyone! We love yall so much!

Lucca FINALLY got to play with Tristan a little bit. They were so cute together! Hopefully we can get them together again!

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I know we did! Lucca loved opening his presents, although he was a little bit of a sleepy head Christmas morning.. Christmas Eve we went over to my parents house and helped them set up for my dad's side of the family coming over. Then we let Lucca open up presents from my parents, and he LOVED the wrapping paper. He got the hang of it after the first few. It was so fun to watch him get into it. They got him a lot of really good learning stuff and things to help him focus on sitting up and walk. AND he got a new bath seat lol!

Christmas morning, Lucca must have been too excited about santa because he didn't want to sleep ALL night! lol So he was def a sleepy head opening our presents, but he still enjoyed it. Then we went over to my mom's for my dad's side of the family Christmas. Then the day after Christmas we went over to my moms AGAIN for my mom's side of the family. Which ended up only being her one sister's family, because the others weren't able to make it.

Overall it was a really good weekend and I can't believe it has already come and gone..NOW I have to work on getting everything together for Lucca's FIRST birthday party this Saturday. I am stressing out BAD. I have already started having birthday disaster nightmares lol Hopefully everything will come together and it won't be a madhouse. Wish me luck!

Birthdays & Gator Games

Randy's birthday was this weekend. He turned 31 and was so depressed about it at first lol. He thinks he is SOOO old! We both had a really long, stressful week at work, so mom and dad offered to keep Lucca Saturday night so Randy and I could go out to dinner for his bday. We ended up going to a Jap Steakhouse which was "ok"..Definately not as good as out favorite Jap Steakhouse Darumas, but it was good. Then we just came home and relaxed on the couch and watched the gator game together. It was so nice just the two of us. lol Don't get me wrong, I love everything about my lil dude, it is just nice every once in a while to have a quiet, peaceful house lol I even got to sleep in till 9:30 Sunday morning! It was nice! Of course my mom said that Lucca slept practically all night at her house, and then last night he slept for 3 hours and then didn't want to go back to sleep! That lil stinker! Fall, costumes, and teeth!

I finally got my Scentsy stuff in that I ordered..My house is smelling SO GOOOD! And for some weird reason I have been in cleaning mode every weekend..very weird, but my house is staying clean! I love the fall season!! And it is FINALLY starting to feel good outside!

I can't believe my child is already 9 months old...crazy how fast time flies! I just ordered his halloween costume for this year! Hopefully it fits! hehe he is going to be so cute =) I want to take him to a Pumpkin Patch..does anyone know of any good ones that are relatively close??

It seems like Lucca has been constantly teething since he was 4 months.. Poor little guy has FOUR teeth in the process of coming in right now, and I KNOW he is M-I-S-E-R-A-B-L-E!! Because I know I am! lol I am lacking so much sleep right now that I feel like I'm always grouchy and I HATE being grouchy! I try to put Orajel on them but he HATES that and he is becoming immune to the teething tablets I think, so I don't know what else to do to ease his pain besides letting him chew on teething rings, which he gets tired of after about 5 mintues..sigh... He is going to have a head full of teeth for his first birthday though! Which by the way is in 3 Months! I have to start planning!
