Bummed

So when we started the process of getting Lucca's wheelchair we were told and under the impression that all we would have to pay is a copay because insurance usually covers medical equipment. And being that this is his FIRST chair, there shouldn't be any issues..

WRONG....
I got a phone call today from the wheelchair place saying that my LOVELY insurance is only going to pay a certain amount and we are still responsible for 20% and 50$ copay which totals over $2500!! Are you freaking kidding me?! We were raising money to get Lucca his $2000 something stroller because we just knew that his wheelchair was going to be somewhat covered and we still have to get him a walker too... Now I don't know WHAT we are going to do.. We don't have that kind of money..

Why is it that everytime we go try to get something to HELP my child SOMETHING is always a hindrance. He is a child for God's sake, who NEEDS help! What is wrong with this picture?! They just basically GIVE AWAY motorized wheelchairs to people who are freaking lazy and fat but to a child who NEEDS one because he cannot walk and may never be able to walk they throw every obstacle in the way to make it where the parents can't afford it.
