First Day of School!

Soo... yesterday was Lucca's 1st day of "real  school". I was a nervous wreck the night before trying to get his backpack and lunchbox ready.. Something I've never had to do. It felt weird knowing this was going to be my new routine every night... My boy is going to SCHOOL now?! He didn't sleep well the night before. Figures.. Usually he is up at the butt crack of dawn but of course he wanted to sleep in (once he finally got back to sleep) and I had to wake him up to give him his Nexium. When I went to get him, I felt his head and he was burning up.. figures right? So I took him temp and it was 103. Are you kidding me son?! lol So I gave him some tylenol, and figured since Randy had taken off of work that we would just go ahead and go up there so Randy could see the school and talk to the teachers and the coordinator. Lucca has already figured out how to get out of going to school, the little booger! I ended up being able to get worked into the doctor (since they were booked, go figure) and found out Lucca has a pretty bad throat infection. They ended up giving him a penicillin shot and said to keep alternating Tylenol and Motrin. Last night his fever got up to 104.8. It was like we were experiencing his trip to the ER all over again when he had the 105 fever. Chills, and miserable all night long. Pretty scary. Soooo looks like he wont be going back to school until next week. Even though yesterday he didn't get to stay all day, I still took some pictures!
