Weekend full of excitement!

This weekend was full of all kinds of excitement! Saturday we took Lucca down to our community pool.. Daddy was trying to teach him how to float. lol It took him a while to warm up to the water but he eventually starting splashing the water with both hands and thought it was absolutely hilarious! I definitely have an outside baby! And he LOOOVES the water!

Then on Sunday, May 16th, my friend from xray school was being induced. She was expecting a little boy, and he made his debut at 6:03 pm. 20 in. long weighing 7lbs 12 oz. Welcome to the world,

Isaac Mathis Hodges!!

All of this was soo exciting and such good news, but NOTHING beats what Lucca did Sunday afternoon.... He CRAWLED/SCOOTED across the floor for the FIRST time by himself!!! It is more like a sidewinder snake crawl but I will take it!! I am soo proud of my lil booger I could cry! This was so exciting to see, and it makes me feel so hopeful that he is coming along!! I can't wait to so his therapist this morning! HOPEFULLY he will do it again for her hehe.

Leaving & Laughing

So today is one of my mentors at works last day here at Shands =( She has worked there for 11 years and now she is moving on to bigger and better things. We are going to truely miss her! She has been our teacher, mentor, friend, confidant, etc. and things are going to be very weird/different without her being there every day. But we are happy for her and hope that everything works out for the best for her over at Baptist South. They are very lucky to be getter her over there. We Love you Laurie!!!!!

Lucca has recently discovered that he can laugh HISTARICALLY (sp?). The other night I was playing with him and he started CRACKING up laughing..not just his normal giggle laugh.. it was those laughs that make you start to tear up you are laughing so hard...and because he was laughing so hard, I couldn't stop laughing and that made him laugh even harder lol..it was the funniest thing so far. I think he tired himself out from laughing so hard..He's so cute. He is starting to try and sit up by himself now with less and less help from us, which is VERY exciting! He doesn't want to crawl tho..he shows no interest in that, but he tries to stand while we are holding his arms and takes steps..Maybe he will completely bypass crawling! Who knows.. Alright off to work I go. TGIF! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
